JuddFilms to Direct Muddy Roots Music Festival Film Project

JuddFilms is proud to announce that we will be directing a documentary on the Muddy Roots Music Festival in Cookesville, Tennessee on September 3rd and 4th.  The Festival is the brainchild of Jason Galaz and Anthony Galaz, who set out to create an event for artists in the alt-country, deep blues, and rockabilly scenes to have a festival as wild and unique as the scene itself.  Going into its second year, it is already the largest independent music festival in the country.  Sixty bands in total will perform including two country music legends: Don Maddox of The Maddox Brothers and Rose and the infamous Wanda Jackson, fresh off of Bonnaroo and her new record with Jack White. Other performers include some of the genre’s heavy hitters, such as Wayne”The Train” Hancock, Th’ Legendary Shack Shakers, JB Beverly, and Possessed By Paul James, along with rising stars Lucky Tubb, Bob Wayne, Rachel Brooke, Jayke Orvis, Hellbound Glory, O’ Death, James Hunnicut, and Slackeye Slim.

We will be working alongside some old faces and good friends.  Todd Tue of Milk Products Media will also be a part of the crew.  Tue has worked with us on such projects as Seven Signs, Charlie Louvin: Still Rattlin’ The Devil’s Cage, Joe Buck’s “Piss and Vinegar” EPK, Scott Biram’s “Still Drunk, Still Crazy, Still Blue” music video and Shooter Jennings’ forthcoming “Family Man” EPK.  Jacob Ennis of Tuckywood Productions, who has worked on both films along with EPKs for Hank III, The Goddamn Gallows, and Shooter Jennings will also be involved.

Here is a link to the festival’s Kickstarter page where Jason is trying to raise some funds to get this project off the ground.  Give it a gander and help out the cause if you can.  We will be really pressing to get people involved over the next month plus.
